Overview
Develops competency in and performs the basics of polysomnographic testing and associated interventions under the direct supervision of a Polysomnographic Technician or a Polysomnographic Technologist.
Performs complete diagnostic evaluation of patients by administering the appropriate tests and measurements to determine level of impairment. Performs direct patient care services utilizing appropriate techniques and procedures as defined by the department. Develops a treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and goals established to optimize treatment of the patients. Modifies treatment programs at regular intervals documenting patient progress and response to treatment. Provides education, training, and support to patient/family to assist with treatment requirements. Strives to meet and exceed individual/patient/ family and other customer expectations. Full time- Night shift.
• Attendance at monthly CEU presentations.
• Pass the board exam and become a credentialed (RPSGT) or certified by ABSM as a Registered Sleep Technologist within 2 years of hire.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
