Job Description

Overview

Are you looking to join a passionate team of marketing and communications colleagues, senior leaders and providers to engage our team members and community by telling the IU Health brand story?  This is a highly visible role which will work to deliver effective internal and external communications that support the IU Health Way.  The ideal candidate takes initiative, seeks to provide clarity and is energized by juggling priorities.

The successful candidate for this position is team-focused, composed in fast-moving situations, embraces ambiguity, ramps quickly on complex issues, and anticipates questions/reactions. This position is based in Bloomington, Indiana, with travel within the south central region. Ability to write edit social media, local statements, press releases, talking points, fact sheets, contributed stories, presentations, web and intranet content, video scripts, award nominations, and other communications materials.  Maintain and deploy internal communication channels including emails, intranet, electronic boards/screensavers and more. Monitor social media for local responses and craft local content in collaboration with Marcom team and system-wide best practices. Experience working with a cross-functional team to navigate communications is a must. Experience building culture and supporting cultural change is preferred along with strong copywriting and editing skills, including re-writing, optimizing and editing content from subject matter experts needed.  Fluency in A/P writing expected; some graphic experience helpful.

 Bachelor's Degree required.
• Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or other related discipline required.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Prefers 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in interviewing preferred.
• Experience with creative and well-rounded writing and editing preferred.
• Experience with designing and producing a variety of communication materials preferred.
