Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a full time Rehab Tech to join our team at Ball Hospital! This position is in a fast paced, pediatric rehab department. It's important to be able to multi-task in a busy environment. Must have good attention to detail, be able to follow cleaning procedures, and be organized.

Performs designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinician(s). Assists the clinician to provide safe mobility and positioning of the patient as needed. Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required. Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Helps with the flow of patients by cleaning treatment areas and treatment supplies, ordering, organizing, assisting therapists as needed and administrative tasks as needed.

This is a full time position. Hours will be on week days, ranging from 7:20am to 6:50pm.

 High School Diploma or GED is required.
•Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Rehab experience preferred.
• Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.
