Our Hospice team provides patients and their families comprehensive, family-centered care delivered by a highly trained interdisciplinary team. Hospice team members are available with care provided where the patient lives. Offering traditional, complementary and alternative services, IU Health hospice professionals help patients carry out the activities and make the personal choices that add meaning to life.

In addition to the standards set above, our nurses will experience a team approach to serving our patients as well as the flexibility and autonomy to do their jobs and provide patients with individualized care.  We provide one on one patient interaction and education as well as critical thinking and clinical skills needed to help with areas such as infusion, wound care, VAC management, chronic disease process management and education which provide endless self-satisfaction and reward to our nurses. 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

•   Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
•   Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
•   Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
•   Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
•   Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
