Program Manager – Communication and Presentation Strategist

Job Description

Overview

The Program Manager - Communication and Presentation Strategist position for Health Plans will have responsibility for the design, execution and management of internal and external presentation deliverables.   The individual will create high quality, engaging and compelling presentations for use during a variety of business interactions including, but not limited to, executive leadership presentations, board meetings, physician meetings, regional leadership meetings, all-organization meetings and events (e.g., Town Halls, etc.), and external meetings with prospects, clients, chambers of commerce or other community partners, regulators and other stakeholders.  The individual in the role will also be responsible for establishing internal standards and best practice and empowering and coaching the broader team regarding high-impact communications.

Job Summary & Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

  • Be the “go to” person for creating engaging and compelling presentations that articulate a clear, coherent story or ask
  • Interpret, synthesize, translate and present complex clinical, financial and other business concepts in visually appealing, clear, and easy to digest presentations
  • Work confidently with senior-level professionals from clinical, financial, data, operations, and regulatory and compliance areas
  • Bring new ideas, curiosity, clarity and crispness to every project
  • Deliver on ad-hoc requests; Create and maintain a suite of deck templates or stock slides for general use; Edit and enhance existing tools, taking them to the next level
  • Establish internal presentation standards by which all from within the organization will follow
  • Ensure consistency with system brand guidelines and styles
  • Prioritize, coordinate, and deliver projects consistent with deadlines
  • Maintain accuracy and quality of content
  • Work well independently and with a cross-functional and diverse team
  • Conduct training sessions, mentor, and inspire other team members such that a culture of highly effective, high-impact communication and credibility is the new norm

 

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • Three to five years’ experience with healthcare, health insurance, managed care or similar content knowledge
  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills (plus strong experience with Excel, Tableau, Power BI and PowerPoint alternatives)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Capable of taking ideas or general direction and translating it into a final deliverable
  • Ability to detect the key point or main take away quickly and have a keen understanding for how people view and digest content
  • Acute attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality and an eye for design
  • Effectiveness in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment with tight and competing deadlines
  • Top-notch customer service skills
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a presentation production environment, ideally with an agency, studio, or in-house brand/marketing department
 Requires Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant Project Management experience required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Healthcare Industry experience a plus.
• Experience working in a complex, matrix environment.
