We are seeking an RN with leadership experience and a passion for Emergency Medicine to join our Team!
This position combines clinical experience and modern leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes on a team with approximately 40 team members. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. Provides oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays at a designated critical access hospital.
As a Critical Access Emergency Center, this department offers emergency health services 24-hours a day to patients of all ages. The unit consists of 10 beds with designated areas for cardiac care, trauma, and OB/GYN procedures. The department is responsible for the immediate treatment of any medical or surgical emergency, initiating life-saving procedures in all types of situations and for providing care for conditions including: chronic medical problems, minor injuries and illness.
