MFM Sonographer

Job Description

Overview

We are looking for an MFM Sonographer to join our team at North Hospital! This individual will be a part of a small, growing office, that has great interoffice teamwork! There is autonomy with scheduling appointments and procedures.

This individual performs ultrasound procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion. OB anatomy scan following the completing OB ultrasounds in the first, second and third trimesters, including BPP, DOPPLERS (MCA, UMBILICAL, DUCTAL) within allotted time frame. This individual will also assist with amniocentesis, CVS. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

Preferred qualifications include: OB registered and 1-2 years of experience. Associates degree or higher education.

NT Certification required within a year of hire.

Requires satisfactory completion of an accredited ultrasound training program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry/CCI of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology required.
• Requires Nuchal Translucency certification within 2 years of hire date.
• May be required to be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• License from Indiana State Department of Health if applicable.
