Overview
Responsible for following departmental practices, involving instrument assembly, inspection, decontamination, cleaning, wrapping and sterilization of reprocessed instruments. Performs the ordering, stocking and distribution of instruments. Instrument technicians prioritize workloads based on OR Surgery schedules. Sterile Techs must be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented, have good written and verbal communication skills.
