Overview
Responsible for the identification, acquisition, and preservation of materials of long term or permanent, and therefore archival, value to Indiana University Health. Builds positive relationships with departments and donors to ensure continued development of the collection. Co-leads digital and non-digital records management for the organization along with digital and non-digital history projects and exhibits. Accession incoming transfers and donations, both physical and digital. Leads efforts to ensure materials are arranged, described, and processed according to established archival and museum standards and the procedures of the Indiana University Health Archives. Collaborates with archives colleagues to provide reference and research assistance to internal and external patrons in person, via email, and virtually. Responsible for environmental monitoring practices to ensure the collection processing and storage areas are free from temperature, humidity, pests, and security concerns. Mentors and leads graduate students and volunteers working in the archives.
Please note that this position will be based primarily on site, but will have some work from home flexibility until COVID restrictions are lifted.
