Job Description

Overview

Are you seeking a role where your efforts will improve the lives and experiences of our patients and employees? This position prepares regular and therapeutic diet, hot and cold food items for retail, patient, and catering. Assembles food items according to production sheets under the direction of the Chef, Lead, Manager, or Supervisor.

 High school graduate or an equivalent combination of education experience from which comparable job knowledge can be acquired; to include graduates from an approved IU Health transition-to-work program.
• No experience required.
• Requires knowledge of basic food safety; infection control and sanitation. Serve Safe training may be required, depending on location. ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of the CBORD system relative to job responsibilities preferred.
• Requires ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Also, requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling.
