The Zero Suicide Program Manager will be is responsible for managing and overseeing system suicide prevention and standardization initiatives, including standardizing screenings; developing clinical programs; updating policies and procedures; and coordinating team trainings. The program manager is also responsible for developing data tracking processes and reporting program metrics. Collaborates with the Virtual Behavioral Health Medical Director on clinical implementation and Director of Behavioral Health on administrative operations. Manages grant activities including participating in monthly meetings; tracking invoices and budget; and meeting anticipated outcomes.

Plans and leads complex initiatives and multiple projects consistent with IU Health growth initiatives. Determines, maintains, communicates, and manages project organization, prioritization, and strategic and tactical plans. Provides data tracking and analytics for input into executive leadership reporting and decision making. Assists in the development of strategic plans for the system and leads the development of sustainable, documented processes to support the business. Executes on initiatives based on sound data and leads performance improvement initiatives. Develops, monitors, and reports on operational performance, trending analysis and market comparisons, and special projects related to growth and financial performance. Collaborates with management and peers, and works cross functionally across the system to continually identify and lead improvement initiatives.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant and complex project management experience.
  • Program management experience or PMP certification is preferred.
  • Relevant clinical experience preferred as a MSW, LCSW or RN.
  • Experience with suicide prevention preferred.  
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Requires experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills, along with experience in evaluating programs and policy development preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead work groups and promote teamwork and build effective relationships needed.
  • Strong initiative to meet objectives preferred.
  • Knowledge of business applications, including Cerner, Patient Keeper and Office is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and grant management experience preferred.
  • Occasional state travel will be necessary.
