We have exciting full-time, night shift nursing opportunity in our IU Health West Hospital Adult Surgical Step-down Unit-Med/Surg. Our magnet designated hospital specializes in life-threatening, emergent, and non-emergent conditions.
Our Adult Surgical Step-down Unit is a 32-bed Med/Surg surgical unit, which consists of orthopedic, gynecological, breast, and other general surgeries, both pre and post op. Staff are comprised of RN, PCA, PCI, and US. RNs mostly interact with surgeons, hospitalists, and rehabilitation services.
Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities
- Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
