Director-Cancer Services

Job Description


The Director – Cancer Services will assist the Oncology Service Line Leader in planning, directing and overall operation of the Cancer Center. The director performs a vital role in enabling the cancer center to provide quality, cost effective care to patients of the cancer center. This leader is responsible for cancer center processes, materials, human resources and directs such to continuously improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the cancer center. They will work closely with the Service Line Leader to direct business efforts to support services and organizational strategy as well as capital requirements, business processes, cash flow requirement, and development of appropriate business plans. The director collaborates with medical staff, administration, and other cancer center support departments for the efficient and purposeful integration of services for cancer patients.


  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or Allied Health field. Masters strongly encouraged.
  • 5+ years of experience working in program development or management of a cancer program.
  • Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Strong clinical background.
  • Experience in Oncology Services.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Associate Chief Nursing Officer

Direct reports: 3 Manager level and 4 individual contributor
