Shifts and Locations Available:

Full-time- 3, 12-hour shifts per week, including a-weekend rotation (benefits-eligible: medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more)

Location: Tipton, IN

 

About the Position:

Are you seeking an opportunity to join a highly skilled critical care team that strives to provide the best care for the community it serves? Then the Critical Care Paramedic position at IUH LifeLine is the one for you! The LifeLine team has been servicing the Indiana communities since 1979. Making it one of the most comprehensive and largest hospital-based programs in the nation.

Our Critical Care Transport (CCT) teams provide the highest quality of advanced transport medicine while delivering safe and expeditious ICU level care. These crew members provide this via our Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs) and industry-leading AirbusEC145s helicopter. We currently provide support to facilities and accident scenes in Indiana, Eastern Illinois, and Western Ohio.

Outside of industry-leading equipment, these crews are staffed with diverse backgrounds including Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, EMTs, and more. This is how our teams are able to safely coordinate and manage a range of emergency calls. These can range from adults to children and even infants. We work closely with Riley Hospital to ensure we have the team members available to coordinate any and all pediatric or neonatal calls.

Outside of working with state of the art technology and equipment, IU Health provides several options when it comes to planning for the future. The IUH organization offers several different incentives for every member of staff. From opportunities to stay healthy and volunteer in the communities. Employees of IU also continue their education with certifications and licensure courses. Our benefited employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement if they wanted to go back to school!


 Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Indiana Paramedic license required.
• Ability to obtain surrounding state license within 6 months of hire (Illinois).
• Certified Flight Paramedic advanced certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or its equivalency(s) to be obtained within initial probationary period.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or its equivalency(s) to be obtained within initial probationary period.
• Trauma Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire, including ITLS or PHTLS.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) or its equivalency must be obtained within initial probationary period.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 to be obtained with initial probationary period.
• Valid Driver's License in the State of Indiana with no more than 6 accrued points.
•Minimum of 3 years ALS Paramedic experience is required.
• Ability to make independent, clinical and operational competent decisions in a challenging environment.
