Job Description

Overview

The RN is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of proficient, evidence-based care, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and improve operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

This role will be within the Occupational Health Department at IUH Bloomington. RN will be providing on site care and case management to a large employee population in Bloomington and will need to be able to work autonomously using critical thinking skills daily. RN will be the team lead with the day-to-day activities on site. Will need to coordinate (as needed) case management functions 24/7.

Location: Medical Department and Employer located in Bloomington IN

Hours: Monday to Friday (0800-1700) some flexibility available. Willing to take phone calls on some off hours

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of RN experience

Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities

  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
