Overview
Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health North is a full service hospital located in Carmel, Indiana. Just a few miles from IU Health's downtown Indianapolis academic and research hospitals and Riley Hospital for Children, we serve the residents of the Indianapolis north side, Hamilton County and beyond.
At IU Health North, each and every team member is a caregiver. This care doesn't stop with our patients, it also extends to one another and our community through service projects, health initiatives and wellness education.
The Pediatric Acuity-Adaptable Unit at North Hospital is comprised of 11-inpatient beds. While the focus for our patients’ care is obstetric, we care for children with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses as well as critically ill children requiring ICU level of care including taking care of our patient’s complex medical, emotional, and social needs.
Our unit focuses on evidenced based care to ensure we are providing the best, most up to date care to our patients. Our unit is like a family…team work is our biggest strength. If you are adaptable, compassionate, and like working in a fast paced environment, we would love to meet you!
At least 1 year of RN experience preferred; experience in Peds ICU nursing a plus! Will consider new graduates with CNA/PCA experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesWe are committed to providing a comprehensive, personalized support system to new graduate nurses to help you transition to the role of professional nurse. Once hired to a department, alongside nursing orientation, all new graduate nurses in their first nursing role will have the opportunity to participate in a Nurse Residency Program called "Transition to IU Health Nursing Practice." The Nurse Residency program goals are to provide socialization and support, enhance clinical judgment, and promote professional development.
