Overview

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. Registered Nurse Med Surg to Critical Care Fasttrack
The Med-Surg to Critical Care Fastrack program starts your career path on our adult medical unit where you build on your foundation of nursing. The candidate of this program progresses throughout their first 1 to 2 years in their own learning and advancement towards the critical care pathway with the support of both the medical and critical care units and leadership. The Fastrack program was designed with a new graduate in mind, although any nurse interested is encouraged to apply.
