Overview
The Vice President of Virtual Care is responsible for developing robust virtual care strategies and driving the implementation of all virtual care growth and operations for IU Health. This work will support IU Health’s virtual care initiatives as the largest health care system in Indiana with 36,000 team members. The leader is responsible for ensuring IU Health’s virtual care technology and the delivery of the best possible patient and team member experience through reliability, ease of use, and effectiveness. This role collaborates with senior leadership and front-line team members, executes organizational development strategy, and motivates change initiatives across the system to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives. The leader is expected to partner with senior administrative and clinical leadership across IU Health to evaluate and execute internal and external strategic partners. This position reports to the President, SHS Retail, Virtual and Home Services. The position will have four direct reports with an organization size of 80 team members.
The virtual care area is part of the System Health Solutions (SHS) business unit which delivered $1.2B in net revenue in 2020. SHS, formed in 2015, brings together many diverse service lines critical to meeting the needs of patients and clients in the complex and constantly evolving world of healthcare. In 2019, Community & Population Health and IU Health plans were brought into SHS to further align the organization to execute on key strategies.
