Indiana University Health has exciting nursing opportunities in our East Central Region Maternal and Fetal Health Unit. Our magnet-designated hospital specializes in multi-specialty patients.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced obstetrical RN with at least basic fetal monitoring skills or advanced monitoring skills.  Our outpatient clinic sees high risk OB patients for total prenatal/ postnatal care. Our outpatient clinic sees high risk OB patients for total prenatal/ postnatal care. We also consult and co- managing pregnancy complications with primary OB team from all over ECR. 

Our clinic is directed by one of the IU Health Riley Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Joseph Landwehr.  In addition, he partners with a larger OB team staffed with the Voss Center for Women and Meridian Women’s Health supporting Ball Memorial Hospital with the OB Level III model.  Our office performs specialized testing and ultrasounds for our patients.  This is a multidisciplinary team of Clinical RNs, Sonographers, Medical Assistants and Schedulers supporting a larger team to elevate the care for our mothers and infants.

  • Hours of Operations Monday – Thursday 730am – 500pm – shifts vary in that time frame.  Friday 8am – noon; Weekly hours will vary between 36-40 hours. Most holidays are closed
  • Experience in Obstetrics & Fetal Monitoring
  • Task include direct patient care, active listening skills, triaging and following protocols, phone skills, computer skills, timely medical record documentation, working as a team, living the values every day.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
