Job Description

Overview

The Director – Ambulatory Nursing Practice will provide administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of personnel, material, and financial resources. This leader will establish policy and direction for department and is accountable for department results. They will develop, standardize, and coordinate programs to advance nursing practice, quality, and research. The Director will oversee policy and procedure development and maintenance. 

Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities

  • Master of Science in Nursing required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) this includes Nurse Practitioners or Clinical Nurse Specialists- strongly preferred.
  • Current state of IN license as a Registered Nurse and have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support certification through AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Completion of Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year upon meeting eligibility requirements.
