Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist.   Apply now - we can't wait to hear from you!

IU Health North Hospital is a full-service 189 bed hospital for adults and children that continues to provide leading family-centered care to Carmel and Hamilton County residents since 2005.   All patient rooms are private to optimize comfort for each individual and their family, and our wealth of services for adults and children ranges from cardiovascular, surgical and orthopedic care to maternity, neonatal, pediatric care, along with an attached medical office building.   The IU Health Joe & Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center brings cancer services together under one roof including radiation oncology and hematology-oncology to surround patients and their loved ones with the care and support they need.  We are proud to also offer the peace of mind that comes with the service and support of Riley Hospital for Children's nationally-recognized programs, including a Level III NICU and a pediatric ICU.

As a leader in promoting and preserving wellness, the IU Health North Hospital physicians and team members are highly skilled, experienced and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients, and they are eager to work in collaborative ways to help area residents lead healthier lives!

The Rad Tech performs diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

This is a PRN position.

  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
