About the Position:

Our Respiratory Therapy team offers a full-service approach providing services to all age ranges.   With our $83 million, 50 bed expansion, our ICU and Acuity Adaptable/Progressive Care units have grown, expanding our respiratory services. Our respiratory therapist services can be seen in all areas of the facility that include: the emergency department, medical surgical units, ICU, acuity adaptable unit, and labor & delivery with a level II special care nursery.   Our respiratory therapists work closely with nurses and physicians as an important part of the patient care team.    We have an extensive respiratory assessment and protocol program that gives our therapists the ability to provide the best individualized care for our patients.   Our therapists are trained to perform intubations on all age ranges, arterial line insertions, and assist with bedside bronchoscopies.

As a Team Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist you will help educate, train, and guide our dynamic staff. You will work closely with Respiratory leadership and departmental educators to help facilitate multidisciplinary training of respiratory modalities, equipment, and services to all the areas of the hospital and mentor/precept future team members to the department. You will navigate staffing and balance schedules. You will also provide feedback to team members and leadership of opportunities of improvement to advance the department in a positive direction

This is a full-time night shift position working three 12 hour shifts, 1900-0730 with some flex scheduling options available.   A relocation incentive bonus is available for this opportunity!  

  • Requires current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
  • Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
  • Requires 3-5 years experience in Respiratory Care.
  • Requires that the N.B.R.C. registry exam be passed within 13 months of hire date.
  • Requires Healthcare Provider BLS. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Preferred ACLS; PALS; and/or NRP certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team member, independent judgment and the ability to facilitate integration of evidence based information into practice.
