NO Weekends; No Call.

We have an exciting Full-Time Nights RN position available with our Hospitalist team in Bloomington, IN!

We are seeking a nurse who will maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with the entire hospital nursing team. This is a phenomenal opportunity for an independent nurse who has great communication skills, the ability to teach, coach and mentor less seasoned nurses and the ability to multitask and problem solve.

The Hospitalist Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Rounding with a physician two times each shift.
  • Receiving and triaging all cross coverage calls from hospitalist patients
  • Intervening with protocols or orders from physician.
  • Assigning all patients on the hospitalist service to a rounding physician for the oncoming day team.

Critical care experience preferred.

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Two years experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
  • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
