Job Description


Under the direction of the Executive Director, Charge Management, this position is responsible for providing coordination, leadership, and planning, and project management to ensure correct and compliant capture of facility and surgical charges. Facilitates quality monitoring of systems and/or program evaluation reflected by key indicators ensuring system linkages are occurring. Works collaboratively with other RCS Program Directors and RCS leadership team.

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Cerner experience preferred.
  • Hospital Charge Description Master (CDM) experience preferred.
  • Health Information Management (HIM) and/or coding experience preferred.
  • Internal or external consulting experience preferred. Healthcare experience required.
  • Billing, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain or clinical experience preferred.
  • Requires experience leading a team.
  • Requires ability to work with executive leaders
  • Facility/Surgery charge auditing experience preferred.
  • Requires strong quantitative skills and understanding of quality measurement methodology and basic statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of the service standards and regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations.
  • Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
  • Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Requires knowledge of policies; procedures and collaborative care processes.
  • Requires strong communication; negotiation; collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires ability to be flexible and effectively lead diverse teams/groups.
  • Requires ability to work independent of supervision and the motivation to produce high quality outcomes.
  • Requires ability to track and perform multiple tasks.
  • Requires ability to manage projects.
  • Requires knowledge of computer software applications: Microsoft Office skills required; Access or other database skill preferred.
  • Requires ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.                                                             
  • Requires decision-making experience to handle controversial issues.
