Job Description

Overview

Coordinates, plans, guides, and evaluates the operational activities related to referral and patient access of the physician network within IU Health and other departments as assigned by the Vice President. Leads Patient Access team with Riley IU Health Physicians. IU Health is seeking a dynamic and accomplished healthcare leader who can work effectively in a highly matrixed and relationship-driven culture. The incumbent must be a visionary leader who knows how to effectively drive change in a complex and distributed yet system-oriented environment. 
 

Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities

    Minimum of 5 years management or operational experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
•    Prefers experience working in a patient access department.
•    Experience in multiple physician or facility setting preferred. Must have strong analytical, communication, and organization skills.
•    Requires interpersonal; negotiation and presentation skills; with the ability to lead groups and programs.
•    Prefers change management experience.
•    Requires demonstrated ability to develop and manage team members effectively.
•    Requires Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Organizational Management or related health field. Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
