Overview

This department at University Hospital is a robust multispecialty clinic that services 2,600 patients per month! The Endocrinology RN will work on a team of 5 nurses and 5 MA’s to support the clinic in a large multi-specialty ambulatory care center.  

The responsibilities for this position include: Telephone triage where licensed nurses help to assess the needs of patients over the phone who are not able to reach the doctor’s office to determine the precise level of care they need.  This may include medication renewals, consults or physical complaints.

Core hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. NO weekends, holidays or on call!

No weekends, No holidays, No call; No Overtime (unless approved by unit leadership).

We are seeking a RN with the ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction required. Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
