IU Health Saxony Hospital provides the latest advancements in medical care and treatment and is proud to be an integral part of the rapidly growing Fishers, Indiana community. Saxony is a 44-bed hospital that includes six operating rooms, a full emergency department, a helipad for medical transport, cardiac cath labs, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, sleep lab and a medical office complex with medical and surgical specialty clinics. As a Level One Heart Attack Program, Saxony Hospital offers the only 24/7 coverage for urgent heart care in the town of Fishers, and we are also home to the IU Health Hip and Knee Center. Saxony is also affiliated with the IU School of Medicine, one of the nation’s largest medical schools.

The Mammography Tech performs quality diagnostic and screening mammographic studies utilizing a knowledge of anatomic positions, equipment maneuverability, and technical factors to determine and produce the projection or position that demonstrates each patient's unique problem, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the patient's well-being throughout the examination. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

This is a part-time benefitted position that will work three 8 hour day shifts per week, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).
  • License from Indiana State Board of Health.
  • Meets MQSA requirements, preferred.
  • Advanced registration in mammography within 12 months of hire, required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Requires ability to learn breast ultrasound procedures, when appropriate.
