Grow your career with IU Health. We have an exceptional opportunity available for a Registered Nurse to join our clinical team as a Clinical Manager of ambulatory care at the Indianapolis Neuroscience Center.

The Ambulatory Manager will oversee clinical operations for Adult Neurology, at the Neuroscience Center in Indianapolis. This is the department’s largest clinic operation, where we see close to 200 patients per day. We have over 45 physicians and advanced practice providers, subspecializing in all different areas of neurology. This includes Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s), Epilepsy, Neuro-ophthalmology, Multiple Sclerosis, and more. We offer multi-disciplinary care and work side by side with our clinical research teams, to provide patients with the most cutting-edge treatments. Embedded in our clinic are social work services, art therapy, and pharmacy support to help our patients navigate their care. It is an exciting and diverse team to be a part of.

The Ambulatory Manager will also oversee a team of 14 outpatient nurses and provide support to the triage nursing functions. Also reporting to this position is a Front Office Supervisor, to oversee registration, and a Team Lead Medical Assistant, to help support our group of 13 medical assistants. The Ambulatory Manager is responsible for bringing all teams – nursing, registration, and medical assistants – together to improve the overall patient experience. They will work closely with the Medical Director on initiatives to improve clinic operations.

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
  • If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Clinical management experience is preferred.
  • Experience supervising a large department preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Required current State of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
