Job Description

Overview

The Director-Neurophysiology provides operational leadership for all neurophysiology services at the downtown campuses and supports strategic program development initiatives across the organization for neuroscience statewide. The incumbent works in matrix and direct line relationship to many components of the organization system and must work collegially and well with physician program directors.
 Bachelor's degree required. Masters of Science in Healthcare or related fields (e.g. Public Health; Health Science Education; Health Administration; Business Administration) preferred. Prefers current national registries/certifications as follows: R.EEGT, R.EPT, and CNIM.
• DABNM certification preferred.
• Requires 5-10 years of leadership experience in neurophysiology services. Requires knowledge and experience of neurodiagnostic/neurophysiology practices and procedural areas.
• Requires skill set to assist with negotiating financial deals and contracts with physicians; payers and other related organizations.
• Requires knowledge of development and implementation of marketing and outreach plans.
• Requires ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Requires knowledge of Quality Improvement processes and ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Requires knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relative to assigned area.
• Requires knowledge in business applications.
• Requires ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
• Requires ability to facilitate and lead work groups.
• Requires ability to apply the organization personnel policies and procedures.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
