Job Description


Seeking experienced Ambulatory Clinical Manager to join our dynamic team!

Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of clinic-based patient care services across 35+ clinic locations in the IU Health Physicians (Indianapolis) region. Acts in collaboration with physicians, service line leaders, regional pharmacy leaders and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Partners with IU Health Retail, Specialty, Acute Care and Home care to advance service delivery. Is responsible for assisting the Director of Pharmacy – Clinical Services with maintaining collaborative practice standards and evidence-based medication management protocols. Assists the Director of Pharmacy – Clinical Services in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Organizes comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving outcomes that improve patients’ quality of life and advance pharmacy practice. Will assist in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for the ongoing financial sustainability of ambulatory pharmacy services. Oversees and supports the professional development of approximately 30 clinical pharmacists, team lead and technicians.

  • Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
  • Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy
  • PGY1 residency required; PGY2 residency preferred
  • 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
  • Board Certification preferred
  • Ambulatory clinical practice experience (direct patient care) required
  • Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Leadership experience is preferred
