Job Description

Overview

Summary

Manages the Surgeon’s schedules/calendars, coordinates meetings, answers patient phone calls, schedules patient appointments, surgeries, and testing. Facilitates Revenue Cycle processes such as the Appointment Management Tool, patient estimates, and financial navigation support. Sending new patient packets, scanning documents, and patient chart preparation. Answering and managing emails, RightFax, and Cerner messages daily. Creating letters, notes, and completing FMLA forms. Working with Clinic Manager/Practice Administrator to support operational goals such as the Missing Note Report, Patient Access initiatives, records for billing or denials management, and completing projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Manages work with basic guidance and direction. Addresses basic administrative and technical issues when they arise. Performs with a high level of professionalism and builds/maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners.

Shows appreciation and respect for customers’ needs, expectations, and perspectives. Represents one’s organization by demonstrating behaviors that reflect an attitude of customer service, responsiveness, and concern.

Execution- Produces on-time, high-quality work deliverables. Achieves individual and team metrics as applicable.

Independent Judgement- Exhibits sound judgement in handling unexpected problems and prioritizing the need for action.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

· High School Diploma/GED required.

· 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

· Certified Medical Assistant strongly recommended, but not required.

· Requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Provides basic administrative and technical support for leaders and teams they support. Manages schedules/calendars, coordinates meetings, coordinates travel arrangements, processes invoices, and handles inquires as appropriate. Manages work with basic guidance and direction. Addresses basic administrative and technical issues when they arise.

 High School Diploma/GED required.
•Requires 0-3+ years relevant experience; previous administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.
• Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
