IU Health’s software engineering team develops the next-generation technologies that change how our patients interact with their doctors, and how our doctors and staff interact with the business. This position is responsible for the implementation of automated builds and deployments using Azure Devops, as well as for establishing and communicating best practices and industry standards for branch and release strategies. Additionally, this position is expected to be the subject matter expert for GIT and Azure Devops. You will work with a variety of teams across a wide spectrum of software technologies and be a key player in the establishment of best practices for the organization.

Responsibilities- Implement build and deployment automation across all product lines
- Develop, document and communicate branching and release strategies
- Develop a consistent pattern for versioning custom software development products
- Report out on the current status of builds and releases
- Provide support and mentoring on GIT and Azure Devops
- Assist developers with broken merges or failed GIT pushes
- Work with the development manager to develop consistent best practices and recommendations regarding build, deployment and release management
- Maintain the GIT repositories of various Azure Devops projects
- Expert communicator
- Expert with revision control management solutions, preferably GIT and TFS
- Experienced with software release management, preferably using Azure Devops
- Experienced with branching strategies, particularly GIT feature branching
- Experienced writing and debugging automated build and deployment scripts
- Proficient with Microsoft Powershell, XML and JSON
