Apply for an Intermediate Information services Business Analyst with IU Health (hybrid: 80% remote; 20% on-site) in Indianapolis! M-F 40 hours per week plus some on-call hours depending on go-live.

This position supports Supply Chain Services by providing detailed, timely and reliable operational assistance critical to efficient management of department operations.  This position specifically supports the WaveMark point-of-use (POU) supply management system.  This system is designed to support an optimized supply chain that can drive more effective patient care at the lowest operational cost.  The incumbent will serve as a resource to all levels of management in reporting, understanding, and analyzing data.  This role provides data analysis support, report generation, communications and relationship management.  This position will assist in detailing processes and developing reporting and communications relative to procedural and supply chain operations. 

Other duties include but not limited to acting as a liaison between IT and business units for the development, implementation and support of new systems and enhancements under moderate level of guidance and direction. Assesses and interprets customer needs and objectives to evaluate new applications or enhance existing applications, document and test system requirements, and work collaboratively with the development team to recommend solution alternatives. Assists in the preparation of communications and presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives. Solves moderately complex problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or 3-5 years of experience)
  • Experience in a healthcare supply chain setting strongly preferred. 
  • Requires ability to work with all levels of healthcare management and staff. 
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Requires exceptional interpersonal; problem-solving; and analytic skills. 
  • Requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives. 
  • Requires the ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships. 
  • Requires the ability to prioritize, track and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Requires the ability to perform in a fast paced environment. 
  • Requires proficiency in MS Excel and Access.
  • Requires experience with data visualization preferably PowerBI.
