Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of clinical pharmacy services across multiple locations within the scope of the IU Health specialty pharmacy program. Acts in collaboration with physicians, service line leaders, pharmacy leaders and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Partners with IU Health Retail, Acute Care and Home Care to advance service delivery. Collaborates with specialty pharmacy leadership team in advancing program scope, services offered, financial sustainability and patient experience/outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the director of pharmacy with maintaining collaborative practice standards and evidence-based medication management protocols. Incumbent will be actively involved in identifying and implementing outcomes research to demonstrate value of services to internal and external stakeholders. Assists the director of pharmacy in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Manager will have extensive knowledge of and responsibility for complying with relevant accreditation bodies such as URAC and the Joint Commission. Will assist in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Oversees and supports the professional development of specialty pharmacy team members (pharmacists and technicians).

  • Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
  • Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy
  • PGY1 residency required; PGY2 residency preferred
  • 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is preferred
  • Board Certification preferred
  • Ambulatory clinical practice experience (direct patient care) preferred
  • Leadership experience is preferred
