Job Description

Overview

The Director-Facilities Support Operations provides administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of staff, materials, and financial resources. The incumbent directs and manages the programs associated with Plant & Facilities, Police & Security, Clinical Engineering, EVS, and Food and Nutrition (any "System" led services will maintain a dotted line for regional direction). The Director is responsible for services provided at IU Health Bloomington, IU Health Bedford, IU Health Paoli, and IU Health Morgan (outpatient facility).

 

 Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience is required. Experience working in a Plant or Facility related field or hospital administrative role preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of HIS (Hospital Information System) applications, including decision support analysis and SBAR/Budget creation.
• Requires Employee Relations experience, including managing leaders as well as teams.
• Requires experience facilitating physician/provider relationships.
• Experience working in a LEAN environment recommended.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, recommended.

•Experience in a matrixed environment preferred.
