Job Description

Overview

Apply for an Architect position with IU Health! This will be located onsite in downtown Indianapolis. The hours will me M-F 40 hours per week (days) with on-call rotation.

The Architect utilizes knowledge of interoperability content and transport standards to create high-level designs for interoperability and integration use cases. Informs the interoperability strategy by maintaining a knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and initiatives that impact the exchange of electronic health information. Uses guiding principles & architectural policies to produce solution designs that anchor to IT portfolio standards and ensure long-term operational and administrative efficiencies. Applies a functional understanding of data integration methods including FHIR, HL7, APIs, SFTP, along with the requisite data security methods that are involved, e.g. OAuth 2.0, API Keys, SMART Authentication, Bearer Authentication. Demonstrates a working knowledge of software development principles and concepts, e.g. object oriented programming, modular development, and CRUD methods. Maintains a high-level understanding of industry-standard development frameworks and the libraries deployed within the interoperability development teams.

The architect is detail-oriented and thorough with the analysis and direction provided to development teams. Ensures delivery teams are equipped with the leadership and guidance necessary to successfully deliver their solutions under the following pillars:

Analysis - Analyzes problems and opportunities as they arise. Takes into account all fact-based information available to provide meaningful suggestions. Asks appropriate follow up questions to try to determine the root cause of the problem.


 Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
•5-7 years of experience required.
• Requires knowledge of EA frameworks and design tools including knowledge of software development principles and concepts.
• Requires knowledge of data integration methods including FHIR, HL7, APIs, STFP.
