Overview

Apply for an Information Services Architect position with IU Health! This is a senior-level position that requires experience in Health Information Technology. The role will be working in downtown Indianapolis M-F during the day with on-call rotation.

This Architect role produces the detail surrounding accepted EA frameworks and logical system designs with a focus on Population Health, Community Health and Quality solutions. Uses guiding principles & architectural policies to produce solution designs that anchor to IT portfolio standards and ensure long-term operational and administrative efficiencies. Evaluates current and emerging technologies for system fit, modification and/or retirement.

 

Serves as the technical expert for our Cerner HealtheIntent platform, ensuring we are current on features necessary to maintain our platform. Serves as the subject matter expert for data sources coming in and out of the HealtheIntent platform. Understands how data sources are consumed and support clinical and business needs. Serves as the technical expert for integration with our Cerner EMR/HealtheIntent platform. Translates business needs and requirements into technical requirements for applications including Cerner and HealtheIntent. Responsible for performance monitoring, tracking and issue resolution in collaboration with delivery teams.

 

The architect is detail-oriented and thorough with the analysis and direction provided to development teams. Ensures delivery teams are equipped with the leadership and guidance necessary to successfully deliver their solutions under the following pillars:

 Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of health information technology experience required.
• Knowledge of EA frameworks, project management and six sigma/lean principles preferred.

• Requires a fundamental understanding of electronic medical records.

• Requires a fundamental understanding of data integration methods including FHIR, HL7, APIs.

• Understanding of the Cerner HealtheIntent platform preferred.
• Understanding of Population Health Value Based Care Programs preferred.

• Understanding of Community Health programs such as SDOH and Equity preferred.

• Understanding of Quality Payment Programs such as MIPS, eCQMs preferred.
