Manager-Human Resources Data and Analytics

Job Description

Overview

Manages a team of analysts and consultants who use innovative data-driven and statistical methods to provide insight into the organization's team member population and to identify opportunities to increase team member retention, better understand team member demographics and ensure team member data is accurately captured and reported. Utilizes data to inform Executive Leadership of insights for strategic decision making, workforce development, structure of Total Rewards offerings, and HR compliance and performance reporting. Collaborates with all levels of organizational leadership and manages HR data utilized across IU Health business units and HR teams. Leads and directs efforts to identify team member questions which need to be solved and what employment data should be gathered and reported. Acts as custodian of sensitive team member information, validates data from various sources and/or completes structured statistical and predictive analysis to prepare all reports that support resulting conclusions/recommendations. 

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Administration or Business, Data Analytics or Statistics and/or relevant years of experience required.
  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in HR Reporting & Data Analytics, Business Shared Services and/or HRIS management roles.
  • Requires a strong understanding of business analytics concepts including data analysis, data mining, statistical and predictive analysis.
  • Requires experience implementing solutions using advanced visualization tools and applications.
  • Requires strong problem structuring and solving skills with demonstrated experience in analyzing complex situations.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communication.
  • Requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects, deadlines and process with attention to detail and organization.
  • Requires the ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with senior management, all HR teams and operational leadership.
  • Requires experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions.
  • Requires experience in coaching and developing professionals at all levels of an organization.
  • Requires experience utilizing/writing in SQL and experience building complex queries and sub-queries across tables.
  • Requires experience with business intelligence solutions (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM is beneficial.
