Job Description


This position is responsible for the delivery of customer facing services within Revenue Cycle System Services. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, prior-authorization, financial counseling/individual solutions, cashiering, release of information, Medicare compliance, and customer service. Position adheres to departmental productivity, quality, and service standards in support of operational goals. 

This position supports the 24/7 hours of operation in the Emergency Department and Inpatient settings. This position requires the ability to work a night shift schedule with high productivity working alone or in a group setting. This position is required to pass the Indiana Navigator Licensing exam within six months. Organization will provide training for licensure and role specific duties. This position is in a direct patient facing role and will be required to interact with patients and their families, on a daily basis. Shift differentials apply. 

This position will work the following schedule weekly: Sunday 6:50pm-3am, Monday 6:50pm-3am, Wednesday 6:50pm-3am, Friday 6:50pm-3am, Saturday 6:50pm-3am

  • Customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in hospital or physician Revenue Cycle strongly preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of six months experience in a registration role. 
  • Requires working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills. Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
  • Requires interaction with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 patients.
