Patient Experience Liaison Coordinator - Part Time Evenings

Job Description

Overview

Part Time 3p-11p - 24 hrs/wk with every other weekend rotation.  Coordinates a variety of service requests which focus on patient needs and ensuring a positive patient/visitor experience in the Emergency Department. Includes staff education and training, documentation, communication, and coordinating under minimal supervision. Assists in planning, directing, and overall coordination of Guest Relations services and this position will interact directly with patients, families, visitors and staff on a daily basis. Responsible for real time service recovery as it directly connects to the patient and their family. Coordinates and maintains staff competency in the area of bereavement and family and patient centered care. Serves as a bereavement resource while on duty. Responsible for supervising the student volunteers, whose focus is serving the patent and their needs.
 Bachelors degree in Business, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field is preferred.
• May require BLS or ability to attain in 3 months depending on business needs.
• Three years of professional experience in a hospital or hospitality service focused position is preferred.
