About the position:
Are you seeking a way to make an impact in the Bloomington community while utilizing your EMT certification? Then the Occupational Health EMT role through IU Health may be the flawless opportunity for you! Our team is seeking motivated and independent team members to work in a fast-paced environment with one of our off-site healthcare research vendors.
This specific role is an outstanding opportunity to work with an industry-leading pharmaceutical team. This particular candidate would be helping complete quick-response Coronavirus testing to ensure production lines are able to run 24/7. You will also be provided with full PPE.
Qualified candidates will have an active EMT-B certification (NREMT or state of Indiana) and will be comfortable working 0-24 hours per week on an as-needed, rotating basis. This role with IUH is a contract to hire position. Team members that meet specific skill and performance standards will be considered for a chance to seek a full-time position within the facility.
Responsible for administering first aid to injured and ill employees at contracted employer job site. Assist in performing testing required for state and federally regulated programs which will include spirometry and hearing conservation. Perform ergonomic consultation and job site assessment under the direction of the clinic manager.
• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
• Certifications such as hearing conservation and ergonomics dependent upon specific contract employer needs.
• 3-5 years EMT experience.
