Job Description

This position is located in Muncie, IN. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Provides functional mentorship and serves as the lead in daily activities of the department. Assists in the supervision of patient flow from point of entry to destination and ensures timely, accurate, and professional service. Monitors workflow, quality, and performance and provides direction, guidance and oversight in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Recognizes improvement opportunities, helps to implement solutions, and handles complex or unresolved issues. Leads the team in assuring patient encounter is priority and at best interest.

 High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Requires ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding experience preferred.
• Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
• Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
