This position includes providing genetic counseling and testing for pediatric patients and families for a variety of conditions seen in Developmental Medicine which may have a hereditary component such as autism (ASD), global developmental delay (GDD), and intellectual disability (ID). This role also involves identifying community resources and educating other healthcare professionals, the community, patients, and families about genetic diseases and hereditary disorders, treatment options and risk factors. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide supervision of genetic counseling graduate students as well as Residents and Psychology Fellows. Experienced counselors as well as those who are currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program for genetic counseling with anticipated graduation in the spring of 2022 are welcome to apply.

Safeguarding our patients and each other is an important part of how we deliver the best care possible to the communities we serve. As a condition of employment, IU Health requires all new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza and COVID-19 vaccines, barring an approved exemption. New hires will also be provided the option to submit proof of previous vaccination.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion at IU Health.
