Apply for a RCS Project Manager role with IU Health! This role will be part of the Revenue Cycle Information Systems Department on the RCIS Charge Services team. This will be a hybrid position with onsite requirements in Indianapolis and some remote opportunities throughout the week! The hours will be approx 8-5p M-F 40 hours per week.

This position participates in managing, assessing, coordinating and reporting on various Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) projects of a confidential and often complex nature while using independent judgment, analytical ability and self-direction. Responsible for providing decision making, leadership and planning for operational improvement projects. Works with the RCS Management to coordinate projects as assigned. This position stays informed on assigned projects to ensure the organization is prepared to address and resolve issues and requests as necessary. Works independently and researches technical issues with little or no assistance. This position reviews and prepares project-related documents.

Other duties include but not limited to  

  • Work closely with all RCIS, RCS, and CIS departments to lead location governance initiatives and changes
  • Would be a key Revenue Cycle player in reviewing location governance requests for accuracy of location build, provider enrollment, and bill area/division requests
  • Work with service line leaders, account executives, and project managers to obtain all necessary information for RCIS application build
  • Task RCIS teams for build work within Cherwell, Footprints, and Email
  • Work with project managers to provide build updates and ensure work has been completed from an RCIS perspective
  • Represent RCS on location governance calls
  • Identify current gaps/issues within current process where we can improve or enhance workflows

Qualifications (below): 

 Bachelor’s degree preferred. PMP (Project Management Process) certification preferred. Requires project management experience and IU Health IS Workflow Experience, IU Health Revenue Cycle Services, IU Health Location Governance Process, and Cerner build/workflow including location build, registration/scheduling, and charge services. Also looking for IDX experience-high level understanding of bill areas and system navigation including provider enrollment and credentialing processe
• Requires facilitation skills to successfully organize and motivate an inter-disciplinary team to accomplish project goals in a tight timeframe.
• Requires ability to prioritize and process multiple complex projects; deadlines; and processes with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Requires ability to gain knowledge of system departments and affiliate organizations.
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma or other performance improvement methodologies preferred.
• Requires ability to maintain confidential communication and use judgment and discretion.
• Requires strong written, verbal, presentation and customer service skills.
• Requires ability to exercise good judgment within established guidelines, and demonstrate maturity as a visible representative of the organization.
• Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
• Ability to work independently, and self-motivate.
