The marketing organization at IU Health is comprised of many different teams and focus areas, including system and service line marketing, regional marketing, digital marketing, patient experience, research and analytics, destination services, social media, internal and corporate communications, public relations and more. This offers interns many unique opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.

Medicare Advantage is a part of IU Health Plans, the insurance partner to IU Health. We are tasked with providing accessible and affordable Medicare coverage to Hoosiers 65 and up. If you like to be part of solving complex marketing and communications problems and are interested in a career in marketing, this is the place for you.

For the Medicare Advantage Marketing internship, we have multiple project opportunities, including:

- Campaign Planning: support the development of the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) campaign – using learnings from the previous campaign and analyzing competitors

- Campaign Execution: support the creation and launch of campaign materials– materials will include digital (SEM, Social, Web, etc.) and traditional (Flyers, Newspaper, TV, etc.) marketing tactics

- Campaign Analysis: assist in identifying the effectiveness and impact of marketing tactics with tracking and analysis of AEP and New-to-Medicare multi-channel marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, the ability to communicate across levels and across functions, and will be self-driven towards marketing business objectives. This internship will provide experience coordinating marketing projects, stewarding brand standards, developing and overseeing the creative process, and analyzing data to adjust marketing campaigns.

The Medicare Advantage marketing internship is for the 2022 Summer semester. The internship begins in late-May or early-June, depending upon candidate availability, and runs through August, with the opportunity to extend into the Fall semester. The Medicare Advantage marketing office is located in downtown Indianapolis. Flexibility to work remotely may be available and will follow the expectations of the full-time marketing employees. Details will be shared during the interview process.
