Overview

The Director-Corporate Real Estate Safety & Security directs and monitors the quality and effectiveness of operations and projects related to safety and security in the Corporate Real Estate properties and holdings throughout the system. The leader ensures cost effective operations, regulatory compliance, and the safe operations of properties. The Director spearheads efforts to keep our patients and staff members safe. This position is responsible for budget forecasting and equipment costs, including preventive maintenance, supply inventory, and workflow for highest efficiency. The incumbent provides direction to contracted security personnel. The Director works collaboratively with system, regional, and IU Health Police leaders to meet safety and security objectives within Corporate Real Estate.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required. Master's Degree is preferred.
• Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships with key leaders to ensure inclusive safety planning and disaster preparedness.
• Requires efficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to navigate public safety and corporate security preferred.
• Strong financial and business operations acumen preferred.
• Contract management experience preferred.
• American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) certifications preferred.
• Prefers a graduate of FBI National Academy, Southern Police Institute, Northwestern University School of Police Staff & Command or equivalent police executive courses.
• Basic and Advanced Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) certification preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
