Overview
The Director-Nursing Practice & Quality is responsible for providing administrative decision making, leadership and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of personnel, material, and financial resources. The leader establishes policy and direction (programs and services) for the department and is accountable for department results. This position is also responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of services with other areas and emerging delivery systems. The Director is responsible for the development, standardization, and coordination of programs to advance the nursing practice, quality, and research for the assigned service and across assigned clinical programs. The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing policy and procedure development and maintenance and chairs the assigned service policy and procedure committee. The leader is accountable for ensuring overall coordination with the Department of Regulatory Compliance and associated programs and initiatives and overseeing continuous regulatory readiness at the assigned service level. The individual in this role will support and assist in facilitation of the shared leadership model for the assigned service. The Director provides clinical and management support to the Vice President for Nursing and Patient Care Service.
