The IU Saxony Hospital Cath Lab is the only 24/7 STEMI care in Fishers.  It is a program providing patients with access to lifesaving treatments, cutting-edge technology and research-based medicine. The cardiac cath lab team cares for adult cardiac patients using teamwork, strong critical thinking and quick interventions. The RN provides hands on care for patients undergoing diagnostic heart caths and interventional cardiac caths. In the cath lab, nurses have the opportunity to use their nursing skills and experience to make an immediate impact on our patient's lives.

This position is full-time; four 10-hour day shifts plus call. Call requires a 30 minute or less response time.

Our Nurse Residency Program offers a dynamic experience that will positively impact your ability to provide quality, compassionate care to patients as you transition from student nurse to professional nurse. With support from nursing leadership, peer education, and mentoring throughout your first year orientation and beyond, you'll develop clinical skills, enhance your professional development & individual strengths as you uncover your passion as a direct care nurse.

• Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 10 hour days, on-call required
• Requires at least 1 year experience in Cath Lab nursing.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires Basic Life Support,(BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALs) certification through the AHA. ,Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
