This position provides genetic counseling and testing for pediatric patients and families for a variety of hereditary conditions and complex indications. In this role the genetic counselor will obtain medical and family history information, as well as laboratory data, to assess the risk of genetic disorders. This role also involves educating other health professionals, patients and families about genetic diseases and hereditary disorders, treatment options, and risk factors as well as the need to identify and provide available community resources. We would ultimately like the counselor in this role to transition to an inpatient role supporting our inpatient service. This role will begin with a mix of inpatient and outpatient work to build experience and comfort with inpatient support. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide supervision of genetic counseling graduate students as well as other learners.  Experienced counselors as well as those who are currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program for genetic counseling with anticipated graduation in the spring of 2022 are welcome to apply.


 Requires Masters degree in Genetic Counseling or Medical Genetics.
• Required to maintain a current Genetic Counselor license in the state of Indiana.
• Requires Board Certification by ABMG/ABGC or Board eligible within 1 year of employment.
• Requires basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
