Overview
The Associate Chief Medical Officer (Assoc CMO) - IU Health East Central Region exists to collaborate and assist the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with the Physician and ECR Leadership Team. Facilitates the development and helps lead the implementation of plans, systems, processes, and personnel designed to maximize the efficiency of hospital flow and throughput operations. Additionally, the Assoc CMO will work closely with the director of patient quality and safety to lead quality and safety improvement efforts and ensure the mission and core values of IU Health. The incumbent fosters a mutually beneficial relationship between the Physician staff and IUH ECR Leadership and demonstrates robust analysis and relationship-building skills. This individual possesses the ability to advocate to community members and continually seeks ways to improve and promote the public relations objectives of IU Health ECR and marketing IU Health ECR services. Ensures that all assigned areas' policies, procedures, and outcomes are consistent with high-quality patient care, effective medical staff relations, fiscal responsibility, excellent people, and excellent service. The incumbent reports directly to and supports the IU Health East Central Region CMO. Serves as an active participant in clinical care by participating in direct patient care and teaching.
